Director of Business Development / Europe

The Director of Business Development develops and oversees the organization’s long-range corporate and business development initiatives to ensure the best use of resources in pursuing growth and profitability objectives. Evaluates viability of outside business partners, alliances, and joint ventures to support the development and implementation of strategic initiatives. Generates new business opportunities and increases revenue with existing clients. Conducts market research and develops marketing strategies to ensure growth. Works closely with marketing, sales, and technical groups to ensure support and implementation of initiatives and strategies.

Responsibilities:
• Drive the adoption and onboarding of new customers onto Horizon’s technology platform
• Maintain a consultative, educational sales approach balanced with assumptive transactional style
• Manage all facets of the sales cycle including prospecting, pitching, negotiating, closing, & onboarding to hit aggressive quarterly quota goals

Qualifications:
• Sales process aptitude: activity tracking, pipeline management, and forecasting
• Exhibit a deep understanding of print Advertising and market trends, opportunities, and challenges – and how they impact Horizon’s market strategy
• Strong interpersonal skills: a charismatic and practical sales leader to earn the respect and relationships of emerging partners
• Strong understanding of Mobile industry trends, technologies, opportunities/challenges, and pricing models
• Strong knowledge of how Mobile advertising is bought sold and delivered – both in the traditional channel and programmatic channels
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Exhibits natural leadership qualities
• Ambition, high-energy and the will to succeed
• Motivated to work in a fast-paced, fun team environment
• Knowledge of the European Market is essential.

Desired Skills and Experience
• Knowledge of the European market is a must; understanding the European purchasing cycle.
